TRAGEDY

He likes the monastery,

but the fact that he could not do this when he should have
prevents him from building it.

Poor old man!

How can he break free
from the fetters of his unlived past?
His mind may permit him
His soul may equip him
But his broken body fails.

The Phoenix wails!

There are gaps,
To fill them you have to comeback,
There’s no shame,
You did what you dared to achieve your aim – my aim!

Love of my life!

Must we do this together again?
Remember the anger and the shame?
Can’t we grow to where we can go
be what we can be
know what we can know
then . . . go!

To the sacred lake!

where we first awake
to a sudden stroke
to the sound of perpetual pounding.
